The iNAP extra tubing set connects the iNAP oral interface to the iNAP console and transmits the negative pressure (vacuum) into the oral cavity. It includes the flexible airway tube and connectors that attach to the iNAP oral interface and iNAP console.

  • Components: flexible tubing with vacuum port; device connector; tubing-to-container connections  
  • Maintenance interval: replace iNAP extra tubing every 3 months (or sooner if damaged)  
  • Cleaning: run warm water through the iNAP extra tubing for ~30 seconds after use; daily wash with mild soap and rinse thoroughly  
  • Safety: Do not leave long lengths of iNAP extra tubing around the head/neck; leave slack to avoid entanglement; do not block the tube while sleeping.

How to use 

  1. Connect the iNAP extra tubing to the iNAP oral interface (ensure a secure fit).  
  2. Connect the other end of the iNAP extra tubing to the console or iNAP saliva container assembly and listen to the "click" to confirm proper connection.  
  3. Make sure the iNAP extra tube is untangled and has some slack, so it won't pull when you move into bed.  
  4. During weekly cleaning, place the iNAP oral interface and iNAP extra tubing in lukewarm water; turn on the console so negative pressure draws water through the iNAP extra tubing into the iNAP saliva container; stop and empty when the container is full, then wash, rinse, and dry all parts.  

FAQs

Why do I need to slack in the iNAP extra tubing?

Slack prevents the iNAP extra tubing from twisting around the head or neck and avoids pulling that blocks the flow. 

What if I cannot feel the vacuum in my mouth?  

Check iNAP extra tubing and iNAP oral interface connections (reconnect until you hear the click), inspect blockages, and ensure the iNAP saliva container is properly installed and not full. 

Can I boil or autoclave the iNAP extra tubing to sterilize it?  

No. Clean with warm, mild soap and lukewarm water as instructed; prolonged or inappropriate cleaning may damage the filter and iNAP extra tubing. 

How often must I replace the iNAP extra tubing?  

Replace it every 3 months or sooner if visibly damaged or if the vacuum cannot be maintained. 

What should I do if water does not pass through the iNAP extra tubing during cleaning?  

Check for tube blockage and clean or replace the tube as needed. Ensure that the tube connection points are clear. If the problem persists, contact Somnics Customer Service.
