Taevas Life Sciences (“Taevas”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) designs and distributes high-quality medical devices built to meet stringent international standards. These Warranty Guidelines describe the coverage, limitations, and procedures for warranty service for both purchased and rented Taevas devices.

1. Scope of Warranty

This warranty applies to all eligible Taevas devices and accessories sold or rented directly by Taevas or through authorized distributors. It covers:

  • Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
  • Component failures under normal use and service conditions
  • Functional issues arising during the valid warranty period

Each product’s individual warranty duration and terms will be mentioned in its Warranty Card, Invoice, or User Manual.

2. Warranty Period

  • The standard warranty period is ABC months/years from the date of installation or purchase (whichever is earlier).
  • For rented or leased devices, warranty remains active throughout the rental duration.
  • Accessories and consumables may have separate or shorter warranty durations.
  • Extended warranties or AMC plans may be optionally purchased.

3. Warranty Coverage

During the warranty period, Taevas may repair, replace, or recalibrate the device or any defective component at no charge if the issue is due to manufacturing defects.

Coverage includes:

  • Faulty components, subassemblies, and electronic modules
  • Software or firmware updates (if applicable)
  • Service labour and standard shipping for approved repairs
  • Technical support before and after service

All replaced parts become property of Taevas.

4. Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage due to accident, misuse, mishandling, negligence, or abuse
  • Use in environments not meeting required specifications (voltage, humidity, dust, etc.)
  • Unauthorized repair, modification, or disassembly
  • Use of non-approved accessories or consumables
  • Damage due to natural disasters, fire, flood, lightning, or power surges
  • Consumables like tubing, filters, batteries, masks, unless stated otherwise
  • Cosmetic wear and tear that doesn't affect performance
  • Issues caused by ignoring IFU or preventive maintenance schedules

Additional exclusions may apply for rented devices as per the Rental Agreement.

5. Customer Responsibilities

To maintain warranty validity, customers must:

  • Retain proof of purchase or valid rental agreement
  • Ensure proper installation and usage as per manual
  • Allow authorized technicians to service the device
  • Report malfunction promptly to Taevas Support
  • Avoid unauthorized repair, relocation, or tampering
  • Use device only for intended medical purpose

6. Warranty Claim Procedure

  1. Contact Support

    • Provide device model, serial number, invoice, issue details, and photos/videos.
  2. Assessment & Ticket Creation
    • The issue will be assessed remotely or on-site.
    • An RMA/Service Ticket will be issued upon confirmation.
  3. Repair or Replacement
    • On-site repair
    • Return-to-service-center repair
    • Replacement unit (new/refurbished)
    • Repair timelines depend on part availability.
  4. Verification & Closure
    • The device is tested fully after service.
    • A service report is provided to the customer.

7. Transferability & Authorized Service

  • Warranty is non-transferable unless approved in writing.
  • Only Taevas-authorized service centers may perform repairs.
  • Devices from unauthorized sellers are not eligible.

8. Shipping & Logistics for Warranty Service

  • Small devices may need to be shipped to the service center.
  • Large/installed devices will receive an engineer visit.
  • Shipping costs:
    • Covered by Taevas if warranty claim is valid
    • Paid by customer if claim is invalid or out-of-warranty

9. Out-of-Warranty Service

  • Repairs and parts will be chargeable as per service rate card.
  • AMC or extended warranty plans may be purchased.
  • Post-repair warranty: 30–90 days on replaced parts.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • Liability is limited to original purchase price or total rental fee.
  • No liability for indirect or incidental damages (data, income, usage loss).
  • Statutory rights remain unaffected.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This policy is governed by the laws of ABC (e.g., India). Disputes fall under courts of ABC (e.g., Hyderabad, Telangana), unless agreed otherwise.
